Blogging with kids.

I don't know about you, but how often are you able to actually sit down at your computer whilst your little ones are awake and actually get anything done?

I've currently taken over the dining room table with my computer in the hope that I can jump on and off during the day to get a little bit of work done (uni, updating the shop, blogging, etc).  I'm also a ridiculous multi-tasker; checking email on my phone whilst I make breakfast and reading uni texts on the Ipad whilst I build block towers with Eamon to name a few.

Until now I haven't been able to blog anywhere other than on my computer.  I often find myself wishing I could blog on my phone whilst I'm out somewhere waiting for Eamon to wake up or whilst I sit in the sandpit watching him catch ants (come on, there are only so many times you can watch that!).

The Blogger app for Iphone is terrible,  have you tried it?  It doesn't let you put photos where you want or change the size, you can't check comments awaiting moderation or add any in-text links.  I have been using it, but only to write posts and save them as a draft, then I fix them up later on the computer.  Painful.

But finally Dana from Wonderforest has created BlogGo which is available at the app store for Ipad and Iphone.  Finally a blogging app created by a blogger! So she actually knows what we want!  So far I've posted a couple of posts from my phone which has been a great time-saver and if you haven't noticed, I'd say it's been working pretty well.

There are still a few minor kinks in the app (as are in all apps), but Dana is so helpful you can contact her via the app store and she is working on fixing any issues in the next update.

So go check it out, and enjoy blogging whilst watching small children and ants.

  1. Do you know if this is available for an android phone? I have a HTC and would love to be able to access blogger on it.

  2. I can no longer use my phone or the iPad if Toddler C is awake and paying attention to what I am doing.
He knows there are fun games on there for him and he wants to play!
Even taking photos is hard because he wants to see what I am taking photos of and not be the subject!

I generally do all my social media stuff when he is asleep.
That being said, I will still down load that app...a mother lives in hope doesn't she!
