It literally took me hours to choose the photos to use in this feature because all of Jodi's photos are simply stunning. Her words are threaded together in an equally beautiful way and often I feel like I'm visiting a storybook when I browse her posts.
Please welcome Jodi, visit her blog, and say hello. You can also link up yours below and visit some links to find some other beauties. And if you haven't already, come on over to our Aussie Blogger Group on Facebook, there are lots of really helpful conversations happening right now.
1.Why did you start blogging and why have you continued?
My intention was simple in the beginning - document and celebrate my family life. Che & Fidel is now a significant part of my writing portfolio, a small publication where I'm at the creative helm. I like to think that it is a place of calm in a rather chaotic online world; somewhere to come while you drink tea. A breather, perhaps.
Why do I continue writing it? - when the day-to-day can become overwhelming, writing and photographing the ordinariness can help with my perspective on life - it becomes a lovely lesson in gratitude.
2. What do you blog about?
I
blog about our family life; our rather normal, everyday life. I'm also a
yoga teacher so I bring that knowledge to the blog in posts about
pregnancy, birth and simple living. As my interest in photography has
grown I have also written about that, and started a project that has grown beyond
my expectations.
3. What are your top 3 favourite Aussie blogs to read?
16 House - Mandy has a wonderful sense of style and I love her documentation of inspiring spaces, locations and artistic endeavours
Mogantosh - I always pop over to Rachael's blog when I want to laugh. She is a
truly fabulous writer - witty, intelligent and wise. I envy her way with
words.
Hugo and Elsa - Michelle lives a dream life in Tasmania as a mama, homemaker, cook and food curator. I've been fortunate to meet her and spend a day in her little cottage, it was a blissful experience.
4. What do you like most about the blogging world?
I think one of the most beautiful things about the blog world is
the sense of community that you discover, the camaraderie, inspiring stories and encouragement that can be found is heartwarming.
5. What do you dislike most about the blogging world?
I
think the blog world can be a little like the high-school playground
sometimes. One thing I have learnt along the way is that people are more
likely to say nasty things to you under the guise of the internet and
that can hurt.
