Lately. M.I.A

So at the last minute we decided to go the Sunny Coast for the weekend to visit friends and to catch up with one of Andrew's bosses to talk about 'where to next'.

Shannon and Lisa have a boy a bit older than Eamon so it was very entertaining watching them play.  Eamon needs to learn to walk quickly, because Byron kept trying to sit on his back as he crawled around.  Their home is one street away from the beach and they have a unit downstairs that we stayed in so it was pretty much perfect.

There were many walks along the beach, swimming and lots of food.  We drove back late last night and we've all been lazing around today trying to recover.  Even Eamon is napping longer than normal (though now I've written that he'll wake up in 5 minutes).

After chatting to one of Andrew's bosses we are thoroughly confused about what to do next.  Andrew's tenure runs out in May and we were thinking the Sunny coast was a good option, now we are going back and forwards; further west (oh god), Toowoomba, coast, stay?

I think it's a case of too many choices, previously with us both on transfer jobs, we've just been told where to go.  Now all of a sudden the whole state is an option and we really don't know where we want to be.  And maybe where we want to be is actually right here, but we have to move to find that out?

But there is not much we can do about it this minute, so for now we just get back to everyday life and try to stop our minds racing 100 miles per hour.

Because I took the weekend off from everything I now have quite a few orders to catch up on and I still haven't sewn the new products I've been wanting to get to since the start of the year.  And it's already February 11.  How did that happen?

I stupidly forgot to put my memory card back into my camera so I have no pretty slr photos to share. And I only really brought my phone out to take a few pics after Eamon woke me at 5am so we went for a walk.  No photos = I must of had a good time.

  1. That sounds like such a nice weekend...even if it did result in lots of confusion about decisions!
I have had more than a few moments like that and I always find that in the end it doesn't really matter...you and your family will be happy where ever you find yourselves so there is no use over thinking the matter.
Easier said than done I know!

    1. Thanks Caitlin, after stressing about it for a bit yesterday I ended up coming to that conclusion too. It doesn't really matter. Wherever we go we will be together and if we hate it we just tough it out for 3 years and move on.

  2. Ha it's so funny how babies play! It's so awesome that it's summer where you live (it's summer right?).
