| New friends. |
I started the week with a considerable 'to do' list. Orders to sew and post, a painting to finish, an assignment to start, costumes to sew... Some I finished quickly, feeling accomplished as I crossed them off. Others I procrastinated on, telling myself I had plenty of time and still they have not been started (and probably won't be until next week, oh well).
I've given up trying to finish anything whilst Eamon is awake. Within 10 minutes he is trying to 'help', which is lovely when it is making the bed, washing or watering the garden. Not so good when I'm trying to sew, wrap an order (he eats the paper) or paint.

Instead I sit on the ground with him as he plays. As long as I am there (not attempting to do anything) he seems content to crawl off and explore. But if I try to do anything else, he demands my attention by climbing my legs, crawling on my lap or just generally making the most annoying noise possible.
Most of the time I am reading a book on my phone whilst he plays and as long as I keep it hidden he happily ignores me. This week I've almost finished a book in 3 days, which kind of makes me feel as if I've been on some kind of holiday, as I barely make it through one a month usually. It's quite a strange 'holiday' though where there are lulls of quiet and reading, interrupted only by Eamon babbling as has he tries to talk to the dog. Then as soon as he goes to sleep it's go go go, and suddenly an hour has passed and he is standing shouting at me to get him out, ready to go again.
We've barely made it out of the house this week, except to the park and one quick trip into town for a few errands. After the last month of constant traveling it has been nice to stay at home and find our own rhythm again.
But we've made it to Friday, and there will be no more 'work' as we head off to my brother's farm for my sister-in-law's 30th. I'm looking forward to a fun weekend of family and jelly wrestling! (no, seriously.)
What have you got planned this weekend?

But oh well..... At least your little 'helper' is a cutie pie! And my weekend will also involve birthday cake ( a combined early get together for myself and my BIL )..... But no jelly wrestling!
