Lately.

Like the rest of Queensland and New South Wales we have had constant rain for the last few days.  And though we were cut off from going anywhere for the last few days, we really don't have anything to complain about other than the fact that we went a little bit crazy being stuck inside for days.  No, really. Like I've actually rolled every piece of fabric I own (and it's now blatantly clear I have a bit of a problem). I've re-organised my sewing room, Eamon's room, the laundry...

I even managed to finally set up an online store, as opposed to using Facebook for all sales.  I will still take custom orders through Facebook, but storenvy allows me to list all the products I already have made and purchases can be made via that site directly without me having to send a paypal invoice for each one.  I'm hoping this will be a major time saver but we'll see how it goes.

The process of setting up the store, made it really obvious that I need to get my butt into gear and sew some more stock! I know we were busy around Christmas but I didn't realise how little I now have on hand.  Luckily I have finally finished my assignment and next semester doesn't start until the end of February so I officially have 1 month to sew, sew, sew!

The sun came out today and amongst doing loads and loads of washing we also managed to get into town for a few things (but mainly to keep my sanity by getting out of the house!). It really wasn't even worth the hours drive but sometimes you just need to get out.

I keep forgetting everyone is back to school today, it feels very weird (and a little bit sad) to not be joining them. Hopefully I can pick up a few supply days in the coming weeks and pretend for a few hours that I am teaching again, and then remember a few hours into the day; why I am happy to stay home with my slobber monster instead.

What have you been up to?

    1. Yep! For some reason Eamon will happily play by himself if I'm busy, but the moment I sit it's whine city!

  2. We went totally stir crazy too!
I did quite a bit of baking but other than that I wasn't really productive at all. Toddler C likes to follow me around and help...which is very sweet but not really conducive to getting much done.

Enjoy your month off from studying!
