Lately I've been doing an excellent job of avoiding my uni assignment. I really am quite talented at finding a million other things I can do instead. I've been doing Yoga like it's my job. My cupboards have been cleaned and bags are on their way to Vinnies. I'm up to date with washing (for once). I re-designed the blog layout and offered to do one for a friend. I've sent emails I've been meaning to send for months. All the bills are paid. Filing - check. My Pinterest account has been buzzing. Now I've resorted to writing a post about not writing my assignment. See, that's a talent! ;)
Each day when Eamon takes his first nap, I sit down, determined to write at least 200 words (baby steps). Yet each day I find more 'research' that needs to be done. I plan and re-plan the structure. Anything to avoid actually just writing the damn thing!
Other excellent things that have happened around here lately. Eamon has finally realised our front area is not contained and he has instant freedom (time for a gate!). We have a working bath! No walls or ceiling but you know...
I've barely pulled my camera out this week, except when I caught Eamon eating dirt. It was too funny to miss.
How's your week been?

Now that I've finished my studies, I lack the motivation to alphabetise the jars in my fridge or hand make a years worth of birthday cards. Enjoy the procrastination while you can- and if you fit a bit of essay writing in, enjoy that too. <3
ReplyDeleteHaha thanks Alisha. That's so true, I definitely wouldn't have had all this other stuff finished if it wasnt for the avoidance tactics!
DeleteDirt is a favourite over here too.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what would happen if I put dirt on his dinner plate and pasta in the garden?
Good luck with the assignment.
As I am sure you well know, just starting it is often the hardest part!
Thanks Caitlin, yep I've finally started and now I'm determined just to finish so I can stop thinking about it!
DeleteSeriously, it is hard to stand how adorable your child is. I dontl know how you do it everyday. I would stare at him while he slept. YOU.ARE.BLESSED!!!! and yes, I am the queen of procrastination. I actually preform MUCH better under pressure!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Hanna! I definitely think he is adorable but it is hard to know whether it is just mama bias. And yes there's might be a bit of baby gazing going on over here!
DeleteThis is another beautiful blog I've found tonight through the blog hop. Your photography skills are great. I think a great photo really brings something to a site ... and these images are just so cute. I've gone through times where I haven't taken too many photos, but I always miss it too much to stay in a lull for too long. :)
ReplyDeleteCheck out mine too if you get a chance - adayindurham.com. Bloglovin seems to be a great tool to find other great blogs. :)
Thanks for the lovely comments Emily. Off to return the visit.
