1. Why did you start blogging and why have you continued?
I have always loved taking photo's and keeping records. Once I had a child, thousands of photos followed and I wanted to record the memories and the small special moments that make up our days. So I started up a blog to write it all down and document our time together so we would have something to look back on in years to come.
I am so glad
that I started as life has flown by at such a rapid pace since my
little ones entered the world and even now I love looking back through
posts and seeing how things have changed and how we have grown together
as a family. I have always been very conscious to just blog for me and
my family. I'm not chasing readers and my aim is not to build my blog
into a business, I just want it as a journal of our lives so this is
always at the forefront of my mind when writing posts.
We live in an incredible age where it is so easy to take, record and store memories for years to come. I love that!
2. What do you blog about?
I
blog about my family, primarily my little ones as they fill my days
with many stories and pictures. I occasionally share projects that I
have done and bits and pieces from my business, fable lane. I am also
very excited to start documenting the journey of renovating our first
home which we have just moved into.
Currently loving The Beetle Shack, In Spaces Between and The Design Files. A bit of home life, inspiration and amazing decor.
4. What do you like most about the blogging world?
I
love getting a glimpse into someone else's home and life, especially
other mums. It makes the journey of being a SAHM easier in a way as you
can communicate with others walking the very same path and sharing the
joys and challenges that mothering and life can throw as us. It has
opened up a new world for me, I have learnt so much and met some lovely
people along the way.
I
would have to say that i really dislike when people feel they can speak
rudely and judge harshly without reason. Everyone is so different and
no blog is ever the complete story of someone's life. People become
brave and bold sitting behind a screen and say some things they would
never walk into a persons home and say. Someone's blog should be no
different. It is being shared publicly but it still deserves the respect
of entering into a personal space.
I just love finding these new and lovely blogs.
